WATCH LIAM LIVE: Musos Living Room Concert Series

The end of the world may be here, but we're not giving up the fight yet.

It's been a whirlwind of weeks as COVID-19 suddenly made its way into our Western lives, one day appearing in Seattle (closer to home than I ever imagined) then the next day throwing the world into a pandemic. I can't properly describe or summarize my current state of mind without cheapening the reality of our planet's crisis, or risking disrespecting the many people in much worse situations than Vancouver's. Needless to say life as we know it has been upended.

But not talking openly and honestly feels like a defeat as well. I've had a challenging time keeping my tether to reality as I battle the possible breakdown of my own mental health, and it pains me to not be able to do anything to help myself or the rest of the world except wait. Maybe this is the wake up call I needed to learn that solid ground under our feet is a privilege, and the true test of character is how we choose to manage crisis.

I believe I'll walk out of this just fine. I'm terrified that the reality is that lots of people won't. I don't even know if I can talk about this any more right now. This is crazy. Okay. [join me in a deep breath]

Musos Entertainment is putting on a concert series on Instagram Live to help us focus on the good parts of our self-isolation, and remind us that while we're not physically together, we're never disconnected if we don't want to be. I'm honoured to have been asked to participate.

The series is called the Musos Living Room Concert series, and also features Greg Neufeld, Antonio Larosa, Patrick Gavigan, Phil Bo, Adam Thomas, Nikita Alfonso and Laura Smith. My set is Thursday, March 26th from 7:30-8:00PM. You can join me by following @musosent on Instagram, and tuning into their live story on the day. I'll be playing a selection of songs that will hopefully inspire some joy, and I invite you all to take this opportunity among what is hopefully many others to relax as we all go through this super weird time together.

Be happy,

Liam
