I am Liam Sturgess

Liam Sturgess, a singer/songwriter based out of Vancouver, BC, has “found his groove on Café des Rêves”, according to the Georgia Straight. Showcased across four albums and his many live performances, Liam Sturgess wields a “proficient alternative-pop sound, blending piano melodies with ripping guitar solos.”

Liam graduated from Capilano University in 2015 where he studied Advanced Arts and Entertainment Management. In Spring 2020, Liam was chosen to receive the Kind Heart Award from the City of North Vancouver.

In December 2020, Liam graduated from the Nimbus School of Recording and Media with a Diploma in Advanced Audio Engineering and Studio Production.

Liam is currently promoting his fourth studio album, Foreverland, released on Canada Day 2022.

Through his startup ventures Four Destinations Entertainment, Blank Space Audio and Sturgess Prime Productions, Liam has produced and engineered records for dozens of artists over the years including collaborators From Ash & Dust, Emma Citrine, Alex Balanko and Walter Sprig.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Liam identified the need for regular people to become involved in opposing government overreach and developing solutions to real issues of public health and civil liberties. To this end, he joined the Canadian Covid Care Alliance as a member of their External Communications Committee. Liam co-authored several foundational publications for the organization, supporting front-line doctors and health care professionals across Canada in their effort to raise awareness on important topics such as the immune system, informed consent and the role of conflicts of interest in Canada’s COVID-19 response.

In July 2022, Liam launched the Rounding the Earth podcast as producer and co-host. Alongside applied statistician and educator Mathew Crawford, Liam enabled over 150 unique discussions with subject matter experts, engaged citizens and multimedia creators. This included his investigative reporting through Rounding the News, a weekly news show seeking to lead by example in a new way of thinking about and processing the world around us.

Since July 2023, Liam has been working as a consultant and contributing columnist to The Kennedy Beacon, the official online magazine covering Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 2024 presidential run.
